MPG's post full bolt ons / tune
So I did the basic boltons, and got my car tuned by Kozmic in Houston. (2014 MR) Car runs great but OMG the MPG's when you drive it hard is insane. Like single digit insane.
Mods are:
Fuel pump
ETS Test pipe
ETS UICP
Cobb EBCS
New spark plugs
Drop in air filter - Cosworth
Is this 'normal' for modifying these cars? I gained MPG's on my STi when I modded it? lol
So if you put a bigger turbo on these cars do you just have to have an umbilical cord attached to a gas tanker that is following you around to get to work?
Inquiring minds want to know.

more boost=more fuel. with a much spirited driving gas tank i see maybe 180-200 at gas light. 250 if i baby it haha. drive the old civic when i want to save gas. it gets around 370ish a tank.
On my X I have full bolt-on's (minus licp) and am tuned at 25psi of boost. Car makes 330whp on a conservative 91 tune. On average I get between 240 and 250 miles out of a tank of gas. That's with city, highway, and spirited driving.

Current MPG reading is 9.1mpg
Since Thursday, with cruising and running errands, punching it here and there I have filled up:
5 times
5
yes, 5.
This is not crazy road trip journeys either, just driving around town and driving as I usually do, and even more reserved honestly.
Average MPG's before tune and parts - around 19mpg

Wow I'm sure you need to be retuned. There is no way you should have to fill up 5 times in 4 days. I do find it a little odd that your tuner had you upgrade your pump with those bolt ons. There's just no need for it
Got my car sorted, they adjusted some part of the tune where when puttering around it wasn't so aggressively dumping fuel thinking I was about to floor it.
Car drives great, and the MPG's are tolerable, around 16-17 I'm guesstimating but am working to calculate for sure.
Anything is better than the 8-11 I was getting!
