purchasing 08 GSR need advice

Hi guys,

long long time lurker finally getting closer to own an evo x

there is a 2008 GSR with 65,000kms going for roughly 25k . I'm hoping to do a straight swap with my 2014 FRS (need more room)

Test drove the car today and felt the dreaded stutter when taking it past 5000 rpm. happened 3 times on a short test drive, didn't do it towards the end of the test drive

Dealer claims he never felt this before and it could have been from it sitting for a while and not having enough time to warm up??

Could a cold start cause these to stutter, like that or is that utter BS? is it more likely an injector/ fuel relay/ timing chain problem?

I'm going for another test drive next week and taking it to a local shop here thats experienced with Evos to get it looked at.

Meanwhile I've attached the service history that they had and the recalls that have been down. Anything on this that i should be weary of?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

NOTE ODO in KMS

Any car that 'shudders' under acceleration would be left on the lot by me. No the car wouldn't do that because it's cold.

Couldn't it just be the stock turbo dropping off? My 15 does the same thing after 5500.

Well I get that same thing ONLY when going up a hill at around 5K rpm, and even then, its more of a flutter than an actual stutter. Something about the load the car is under with the matching rpm; the stock tune doesnt seem to like that combo would be my guess. Other buds have had similar experiences. Havent experienced it anymore after re-tunning!
