Undertray OEM or SSP?

Which one should I get? My car is just a daily driver. Any advantages from going OEM to the SSP? Thanks for the input..

The OEM one gets brittle in the winter. Already replaced it at a tune of about $100 on my Wife's RA. If you're not lowered, the OE is probably fine. If you're scraping and hitting chunks of ice in the winter, you're probably better off with an aftermarket piece in the long run.

I'm lowered right now but I'll have the car in stock height come winter time. If it gets brittle in the winter then I might just purchase the aluminum one. I live in Indiana and I broke a front lip before on a WRX because of a chunk of snow. Thanks for the input guys.

My car is at stock ride height and last winter I ripped a huge piece of which led to damn squirrels making a nest under my hood and chewing my intake and wiring . So I bought the ssp undertray and I love it, it's strong , looks cleaner, and super easy to install. So unless you need one I would just stick with the stock one

Honestly the SSP is great. I have the single piece SSP that I've been rocking for about 6 years. Works great! Huge downfall is having to unscrew all the bolts when you have to do some work. There's like, a million. And the Oil Door can be a pain too. I'm not sure of the construction on the newer models but I know they were made for cheaper shipping and convenience this time around.

I just installed mine and here's the low down from my experience.
My car is stock height and i have the SSP v2.

You lose a bit of clearance from the bolts that stick out a bit and if you choose to put back on the brace bar in the back. I scraped something when backing out of a friend's driveway today. i checked the tray and no chunks of paint was missing and the brace bar was fine as well.

Fitment wise, at least a couple screws went in weird. No it was not just me, a friend who put his on a few days before me had the same issue with the same screws. have not noticed any rattling.

You will have to do a TINY bit of trimming on some plastic.

The OEM one has a vent that directs air towards the transmission. The SSP one a hole off to the side.

SSP has a hole + panel that covers the hole for a front jack point, but it's kinda retarded because you have to get under the car to unbolt the panel to access the jack point =/

SSP one did come with a hole + cover panel for the oil filter.

SSP came with half *** powder coat job.

Did you buy one yet? If not want to buy mine?
