shift knob recommendations please.

Hi. Wanted to get something new. I searched the forum and no one brand really sticks out. Would love to hear recommendations, as you guys are really give good car advice. I don't have too many restrictions if any. Many are saying a heavy shifter is helpful for that notchy 2nd gear issue. Thanks!

I've had the AMS delrin shift knob for over a year. It felt weird at first but I love it now. It definitely helps since it is weighted. For the notchy shifting, get the under hood shifter bushings. I installed the kit AMS sells and it solved my notchy shifting completely.

knobs

I tried heavier and had the greddy but didn't like how hot it got. I went heavier and tried the tommy kaira but got rid of that too. Some weight is beneficial but too much and you feel like you're pumping weights every time you drive the car.

Eventually I went with longer instead of heavier. First was stock knob with rod extension. Then I tried the billy club and liked the fact that it was delrin and didn't heat up. I finally ended up with a knob from dnd performance which is long like the billy club but weighted slightly more.

Cobb gloss white shift knob for me. Love the feel of it. Perfect height and weight.

I have a blox spherical weighted shift knob. I believe it was around $40 and it feels and looks great!

Thanks everyone! I just googled all of your suggestions. I think I will try out Jayt27's suggestion. Looks simple and clean. I like that.

JakeSoberman, a little too rich for my blood.

e kobz, says not compatible with 15 Evo. Either way, the underwriting isn't my thing.

hearnoevo, thanks. I think I will go with one that is heavier than the stock but not one of the monsters.

M4J35T1C X, thank you. I will look into them once I find a solid mechanic I can trust.

Bushings are extremely easy to change out, there are some guides around here that can walk you through simply. Definitely don't need to rely on a mechanic to change those out.

Thanks! The Works looks cool. I am surprised I like it since I wanted something shorter than stock. I am going to read about it. The AMS is a side grab, I like to shift from the top. Thanks for the suggestions!

I rhino lined my flossy shift knob after the powder coating flaked off. Works well in hot and cold climate

A longer shift knob makes shifting a lot easier. I recommend what the others are saying: AMS Delrin Shift Knob for like $60.

Interesting. The shape isn't what I was thinking, but for the price maybe worth a shot. Right now I am thinking the WORKS grab shifter.

Has to be a M10 x 1.25 right? 1.5 doesnt work?

Correct. You need the M10 x 1.25.
