Bought an EVO

So, I have been saving for an Evo for about 4 years. I was called by a friend this morning who drives by a ton of dealerships everyday to and from work. He saw the Evo I have been talking about for awhile. He stopped, took a pick and called me.

Long story short.

I just bought a 2012 Evo X with 15k miles. Stage 2 clutch (I think) its really stiff and performance exhaust. Not sure about the exhaust, but I didnt have to put a ton of money down, my trade covered a lot of it. So now I have 5k to play with for mods.

I just picked up a double din radio as well as a nice radar detector.

Would love a few recommendations for a good tuner in the NH area.

I will post pics later.

You get what you pay for... certainly there's a place for etuning and some tuners can do a fantastic job, but I might suggest, unless you are quite sophisticated, a professional, in person tune can help diagnose a myriad of issues while solving the tune.

Agreed. Especially buying a used Evo, seeing a professional tuner with lots of experience with these cars is a much better option.

Don't assume it's fine or not modified. I'd go easy on it, stay out of boost, then try and find out what you have on your hands. You may have a lot of aftermarket parts that need to be tuned for. Most people trade in cars without care or regard for those that will purchase them next.

I agree with both points. For E-Tuning you want to make sure your car is mechanically sound. An in person tune will help reassure that. There are good etuners out there. Also I always liked the fact that with etune is tuning on the conditions you are in everyday not on a dyno. I have had both and both were good experiences. Etune just took a longer time!

I would recommend GoAutoRepair in Nashua,NH ask for Farooq. If not then go to Kaizen tuning.
