As far as FAST/keyless entry, the '08, '10-11 are better compared to the latter years. They had additonal sensors on the driver and passenger's doors as opposed to only having the push buttons on the '12-15 models.

Gotta say 13'. They seem to have the least problems.

^2013s still had the faulty CMC though. Undoubtedly, 2014 is"best" and I'm sure the majority could agree to that.

My '11 only had the button on the outside, not the sensor on the inside like my '08.

get a 2011+ and you will be fine.. All of the evo X's have relay issues so make sure you check that.
This is the best answer so far . Though I thought the '10 had stretch issues as well?

I believe 2011 they changed how the SST was programmed which prevented some longevity issues as well.

'11 and newer had a nicer texture wrap on the steering wheel. '10 and newer had PVC valve cover vs the aluminum one (lighter).

I'll say this again, I've had 0 issues on my 08. Almost 80k miles and 350whp. Literally just change oil and do proper maintenance. Car has been nothing but reliable

I'm just glad everyone is saying 2014 because i own one. If I had to buy a evo because I wanted a evo then I would just get a 2015 new instead of almost the same price as a used 2014

I just found a second to test drive @ a dealer - a 2012 with - get this - 4,300 miles. Photos suck but it looks stock.

Sounds like the car was sitting unused a lot with that mileage...Any tips going into look at it? I didn't know if sitting could erode seals or gaskets and stuff like that.or anything serious to look for in that situation..

2006 MR and 2015 Final Edition.

I predict these will be the most expensive years from now. The SE models maybe.

Well I did it! Got my dream car!

Grabbed a 2011 (First Owner bought it new in August 2012) at a dealer.
GSR, wicked white, with only 3,350 miles on it. Everything still looks like it just rolled off of the dealer's lot. All stock! I already replaced fluids and the fuel pump relay as my first order of business.

Such a fun vehicle to drive!
