Gauges for EVO X

If I could have only three which ones should I get for a stock (currently) with mild streetable tuning aspirations
1 x Boost Gauge with what BAR or PSI max ?
1 x Air Fuel Ratio Gauge (Runs off ECU O2 sensor - Wide or narrow band selectable)
1 x Oil Pressure Gauge
Am I on the right track here guys or missing something ?
Cheers

Boost, AFR and whatever you want as the third. Bar or PSI is up to you but as long as you know how to read it. And you want a wideband because it's accurate for tuning. If you're basically stock and plan on mild tuning, a third gauge is really just for looks so get whatever you want.

I've been pondering the same thing.

This is what I came up with:

1. AEM wideband failsafe gauge (A/F and boost in 1)
2. Oil pressure
3. oil temp/EGT gauge

I don't quite agree with SVPxTuRbO (and your username is hard to type). The first two are basic knowledge for turbo cars. But the third is not just for looks though. oil pressure, oil temperature, egt can tell you things that you may not be alerted by the car.

I said that based off of what his current setup and what his future plan was. He's basically stock and is going for some mild street tuning. You don't really need an oil or water press/temp for that. An EGT maybe, but a wideband AFR already tells you more accurately the air fuel ratio and again at stock/mild tunes and not really neccessary. Can it be purchased later? Of course and he can put that $$ on something else.

A Wideband is all you need for tuning. You can monitor/log everything else with the stock sensors and OBD.

Yes, you are on the right track.

Boost: tells if you hit boost target or if you are overboosting.
Wideband AFR: tells the AFR. It's a leading indicator if there is a mechanical (e.g. sensor) problem or tune problem.
Oil pressure: tells if engine is being lubricated. It's a leading indicator to save you repair money. Just make sure you pull over and turn off the engine in the very rare case when you lose oil pressure.
