First Autocross (AutoX) in Stock Evo X
I took SCCA starting line (SL) on a Saturday and evolution performance driving school (EPDS) phase 1 the following day.
Of the 2, I would recommend doing SL over EPDS phase 1 first, but there's enough full course practice during phase 1 that both are worth it. SL is beginner beginner and phase 1 is advanced beginner. SL practices portions of a course before throwing you on a full course, going over fundamentals to each type of cone combination layout you'll most likely encounter. Phase 1 goes over fundamentals but starting out on a full course. Its easier to digest in SL, IMO. And I can't speak highly enough of Hayward Wagner of SCCA, great teacher. But the lead guy who was instructing Phase 1 was a solo national winner so he knew what he talking about.
