Hi all!
Haven't posted here in a long time; I originally joined EvoM back when i had my 2002 Galant DE. Now I own a 2014 Evo GSR (daily) and i'm loving every minute!!
Just wanted to formally say hello now that I own an Evo. I've had the Evo since January 2014 and finally decided to start modifying. Just bought the Intake and UICP from ETS, might plan on getting some other items from them in the next following weeks.
My plan would be to get to around 360/370whp depending on mods and a tune.
Looking forward to participating more on the forums instead of just lurking around the "How-To" sections. Definitely will check out the UICP and Intake install thread by sun_ice4.
Here's a pic of my GSR, kinda miss the Octane Blue i had on my last car (2010 Lancer Sportback GTS) though Cosmic Blue looks nice.
Look at that shiny paint! Your black GSR looks much better than mine does. Time for a wash and wax methinks. Forgot how nice they can look. Congrats on getting a 2014 with Recaros too!
You may be able to hit 360whp on 93oct if you do full bolt-ons with a test pipe and use a friendly dyno. If not there is always E85 or a bigger turbo to get the job done .
Thanks everyone!!
The nearest E85 station in my area is Newark (too far north for me ). I'll most likely stick to 93 pump gas.
My plan is to do full bolt-ons for now, then after a year or two upgrade to an FP or Garrett turbocharger. I have to do more research on upgraded turbos for the Evo; i've seen alot of talk of FP Red/Green, GT35R, even the MHI18k.
