Dude a friend of mine got hit by a drunk driver a few months ago. He owned an ancient Galant and won like $15k is a suit. The car at most was worth $2k. If I were you I'd sue this guy hard. You have like 100% chance of winning a suit.

You had a kid and your mom in the car too so I'm willing to bet you could do a lot better than my friend.

You don't want to reinforce His negative (Evo destroying) behavior.

I'm really happy to hear that your family is alright. I hope you can get back into an Evo soon.

Glad you're ok. Be sure to do your research before agreeing to any deals with insurance. I'm sure everyone on here would be happy to answer any questions and share their experience.

When I got rear ended( minor accident ) insurance offered me a rental while my car was in the shop. Since you aren't at fault, I would assume your insurance would offer a loaner to you as well? They go through Hertz or another car rental company. At least that's what they did for me. You should check so you don't have to take public transportation!

I don't have rental coverage on my insurance(I know pretty dumb of me)I didn't think I would need it,now that other company will pay for it but there still doing investigation, which I think is bull**** seeing as you can see the damages on the car but idk this is the first time I'm ever going through this so it's all new to me.

drunk driving laws are freaking atrocious. You should see at least a year of jail for your first offense and any following offenses should see even longer time.

Glad you and your family is okay OP. Sue the **** out of that ****er.
