Ignition Coil Plug?

Ignition Coil Plug?
Going through a pre-tune checklist and stumbled upon this little pain in the ***. The rubber insulator in the ignition coil plug dry rotted and expanded, so I can't plug it into the coil. Anybody know how to fix this? I know in my old VW you could buy a replacement pigtail on eBay and solder it in, not sure if I would need a whole new harness for this.

You sir, are a wizard There were actually 2 separate insulators that I suppose act in tandem. I found a Mitsubishi harness repair for an alternator that looks very close to the ignition coil plug. So I'm gonna give it a shot.

I know it’s been a while but how did that work out for you?
I as well had a bad wire that someone tried to fix and did a horrible job at it so I’m thinking of doing the same as you. The pics below are how it currently is and I’m replacing it with the alt. Connector
