My 08 MR was definitely my favorite car. The transmission is insane!! It just destroys manual cars at the track. My 08 MR was 20-30whp slower than my '11 GSR and I could never match my times at my local track. It allows you to concentrate on left foot braking and hitting your apex, manual mode super sport just tears other cars to pieces. This is why all of the sports cars are going dual clutch transmissions as well (Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, Nissan, Audi, etc). I wish I could have got my FE with an SST, but at the same time I wouldn't want to risk a $10k transmission

Break it in and take that bad boy to the track

thanks guys. I love the MR and it suits my needs just right. It would have been my first manual if I went that way. Again for my driving situation the MR works.

Loved my Ralliart. I had 29k on it when I traded. That was a 2012. Took it out on a nice road in NH and had some fun. I will add a picture here.

Honestly, while that was true a while ago, the Automatic transmissions in some cars these days are no joke! (Nissan GT-R for example)

I agree. The DCT in my M3 is simply amazing. But, nothing really substitutes the visceral feelings of excitement when rowing your own gears.

Congrats on the new car. You made a good choice for a DD. Just enjoy your car, I think it's one of the last good Evos. Are you gonna keep it stock or do you have plans to modify it?

thanks guys. I think I will keep it mostly stock but I plan to add in a few things. I need winter tires and rims. Window tint is this weekend. I do have some questions about the accessories listed on their site. Are there any worth getting? I was thinking about the two braces or stabilizers (front and rear). I also miss my backup camera a bit, may look into installing one.

god am I dumb, I just curb rashed my rim. The car is not even a week old and I already have curb rash. Now I need to get it repaired. Anyone have experience getting these repaired? There is a local shop called Rim Pro that I am looking at using. Very, very depressed. The car turns a lot different than my Ralliart. Now I have to compensate and learn how's its different

Just call repairers that come to your place to fix up your rims. They're usually pretty cheap for less than 100 dollars.

the repair place they would not touch the rim. Said the could not match up the color of the BBS rims. He also warned against others saying they could do it and said that usually they do not match after you get it back from repair. Now I am super careful with the car until I adjust to the new car. thanks
