Buying 2013 evo x

Looking to buy a 2013 evo gsr tomorrow, what should I look for when I test drive it? I come from sums and currently have an 94 Yukon deali, so I know the normal things to check but with turbo cars I was wondering if y'all could let me know if I should be looking for something in specific to these engines/car? I it has only 40k km on it. Thank you!

How familiar are you with driving stick? Driving an Evo is different than just driving any other manual car. Its a heavy AWD car with a bunch of power. If you slip the clutch when starting in first, like most people do when driving any manual car, it can burn the clutch up pretty quick.

So, number 1, see how the clutch feels.

Is it modded? If so, what kind of mods are on it? It is always better to buy a stock Evo.

Well I just got rid of my 94 mk4 Na supra so that's about my extent of familiarity with sticks. But I will be extra carefully to see how this EVO feels. I this are the mods the car has, nothing too big.

If I was you I would take this car to a reputable evo shop and have them look it over since the car already has had to have a new clutch put in it...Sounds like the ol'girl may have been driven a bit hard.

Might want to run a search. This has been covered many times. Bottom line... if you're not sure what to look for, ask someone to go with you. Even if you have to pay them. Better safe than sorry.

Seriously only 40km on it?

Or 40,000 miles?

If it's only 40km then just pick that **** up and drive it away. that's new as hell. But that's strange.

40,000 miles on the other hand... check to see if it's been modified. Find a buddy who knows these cars to go with you and look for mods. Mods aren't bad though anyway, it's just free upgrades if you were going to mod anyway.

If the dealership has a website with photo and a description of the car, then post that up here. you'd be surprised what people can spot from those photos!
