New guy - '14 GSR wicked white
Hey guys,
Been lurking on here for a while but only created an account after I picked one up. It's been quite an experience getting this car built and squared away, but I've learned a lot and really appreciate how these cars were put together. Love this thing.
At any rate, here's the car:

The forum has been quite a help to me so far - hopefully I can contribute back what I've learned so far.

Probably just little trinkets here and there without going overboard. I never have liked aftermarket stuff when it comes to replacing actual panels or bumpers to be honest.
Lately I've been focusing on the engine and engine bay - ive gone to a different turbo and all that drama. Currently trying to find the time to install some new cams.

The long term goal is to keep it clean, properly modified, and well maintained.
That's an excellent question. When I first got this car it was a problem child - leaked everywhere - had obviously been raced, driven hard, and "put to good use." Took a gamble and got it for a steal instead of buying a brand new '15 Final. The dealership couldn't get it to run right and the car hardly made it home... I had to go through the thing with a fine tooth comb fixing problems along the way.
This is my first Evo so I had no idea what I was really looking at... after about four months, countless hours in the garage, reading evolution, some detective work, and a few dollars I have found a huge list of easter eggs that completely explain why the dealership couldn't get it to run right: the engine rotating assembly and internals were far from stock.
So after fixing all the problems and getting the car on track with all the supporting mods; my next-to-last move was to replace the turbocharger with a Tomei 82/80 and the last will be to change the intake manifold. Car was last tuned in January to 349/335 at 26psi - I'd like to see somewhere in the low 400s this summer and have a reliable, nimble, proper tuned car instead of a massive power machine.
