Alingment!!!!!!

Hello everyone.

I just installed H&R springs on my Evo x. Should I get the Alihnment done at the dealer or somewhere else. I live in Saint Paul MN if anyone can suggest a good shop near there. Also what alignment spec are you guys aligned too(people with the H&R)

Thanks

Yes. The springs will settle after driving it a few times then take it in to get an alignment.

Yeah, drive it for a day or two and then get an alignment. Anyone with a good tech can do the alignment. The dealer is usually pretty good, tire chains are a crapshoot. For a street car, the below are generally accepted alignement specs. If you want more than -2.0 front camber you can flip the bolt but you'll go through tires quickly.

Front:
toe: 0.0
camber: -1.50 to -1.80

Rear:
toe: 0.0 to 0.10 (slightly toe-in)
camber: -1.00

I took my evo to the dealer and they said they couldn't do the alignment on it since it's low and they wouldn't be able to get it onto their alignment rack. Did any of you ran into this issue?

I've been calling around the shops from where I am and all of them said they can't do an alignment as my car is too low. Does anyone know a shop capable of performing an alignment on lowered cars near Saint Paul mn?

How low is your car? Do your springs need to be adjusted?

I think MAPerformance is in that general area (I believe they're a vendor on here) so maybe they can point you in the right direction.

Dude, you live in Minnesota? Stop going to dumb a$$ white bear mitsubishi then. I am 100% positive people in MN are telling you to call white beat Mitsubishi because they are the best. Well, they are not. lol.

Call Richfield Mitsubishi. They will absolutely get you on their alignment rack.

Yeah, you're definitely calling all the wrong shops. A less than 1.5" drop should NOT be an issue for an alignment on these cars.

These guys should be able to get you sorted:

If there's a Firestone in your area, you can take it to them. They also offer a lifetime alignment on the car (for a price of course), but they'll be able to take care of you as well. I'd only get the lifetime alignment deal if you know you're going to keep the car for a very long time BTW.
