I appreciate the input guys. I usually keep my cars for a long time and this is going to be my daily for a few years so its making the decision a bit harder. Plus do you guys know if the HID headlights that comes with the premium package on the GSR is the same as the FE?

You can compare it because of it's ludicrous Nurbrugring lap time.

I don't see as to why they would be different.

It may have a good lap time on that track but overall it's not a proper comparison. And in my personal opinion, FWD is not good for high performance applications.

It's lap time and the fact that it hung with supercars, suggest that it belongs in the segment and conversation, the fact that it is FWD is irrelevant.

Stock for stock, that type r is nasty. Call up Mitsu and ask them why they decided to bow out of the race car game. Until then, our only choices are the RS, Sti, and Type R.

How much is the type R?

I disagree. It will always have a natural traction disadvantage that may not be so obvious on a dry surface but will definitely show itself as soon as the surface becomes even slightly slippery. I dint know the reasons why mitsubishi stepped out of the racing game but I imagine it had more to do with financial reasons than anything else. As far as new model choices go, I would not put the type r in the same group as the WRX/STI or RS.

But we are getting off of the topic of this thread.

Doesn't matter, it is in the same segment as the other vehicles mentioned for a reason, case closed.

I had a 2013 EVO X GSR Octane Blue and sold it only to go back and buy a 2015 White FE. I vote FE and any included weight reduction.

If I were buying a '15 I would choose the FE.

Or if you just gotta have the Recaros, you can do what I did and try to find a left-over '14. There might still be a few out there...
