Frame bolts and undercarriage plastic

Hey all, I was installing new headlights yesterday when I realized some of the bolts are literally rusting away.

I applied a coat of acf50 to everything I could find but I want to get in and rebuild with stainless steel bolts ASAP. Does anyone have recommendations for this?

That said the plastic undercarriage also lol and honestly plastic clips are the freaking worst, but here a chunk literally ripped off.

Since the bolt that holds this in and the plastic have been lost, I figure this is a good excuse for an upgrade. Any recommendations? Better yet is there anything I can do with this?

Note: Plastic undercarriage rip off was the answer to my question a couple of weeks back of "****ttt what was that loud sound?!"

Bolts rusting like that are fairly common, but in terms of the under tray thats up to you.

Like you my under tray was beating itself up on a trip to the shore so I just ripped it off and never put it back on. Makes it easier for maintenance and such. If you wanna have one on, I recommend the SSP undertray!

Do you have a GSR or MR? If you have an MR I highly recommend you keep the tray. It has ventilation that provides exterior air to help cool the transmission. Some aftermarket trays have ventilation, the SSP one did not the last I saw.

That looks like a cutting feature on the fastener you are showing. I do not think it rusted away.

Personally, when I have difficulty with rusty fasteners, I put a little drip of automatic transmission fluid back on the threads when I resecure them.

@Jp7 I did not know that! I figured I had just broken a few off. Thanks for the heads up! (I threw on some acf50 which should help against further corrosion).
