Question Thinking about an EVO X. Anyone recognize this one?

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...5904/overview/

I'm going to look at it this afternoon. Any suggestions on what to look for? Never had a dual clutch transmission before.

TIA.

More Info pulled from another thread

“think there is a thread, what to look out for when buying an Evo but the usual things like whining drive train, slipping clutch, diff grinding, battery acid spill, faded wing, smooth syncro's, leak down and compress test, uneven tyre wear, body repair, log books, recalls, smoke, clean rad water, brake pump, mod list, caliper color, tools and spare, clean title, belt done, rust, coil overs leaking, bearing or rod knock, warranty, wheel bearings, bolsters, stone chips, under rail damage from jack stands, steering centers, dash rattles, clear coat damage

That's a good check list”

Test drove it yesterday.
Car looks pretty clean. No signs of modding.
Interior isn't as bad as I've read it was. The factory infotainment is horrible IMO. That's the only thing I'd have to change straight away.
Shifted pretty smooth but since i've never driven an SST before, I'm not really sure how it should sound.
There was sort of an "electric" sounding whining noise that could be from the drivetrain but I'm not sure what it was.
I thought it was from the radio or something like that but it didn't go away when I turned off the radio.

Everything was good up until you said you heard a whining noise.. from what I’ve searched and read, whining and evos do not belong in the same sentence.search “death whine”. When would you hear the whine sound. While driving having your foot on the gas? Or would you hear it when you were Letting off the throttle?
Don’t mean to scare you off but I’d rather you be 100% sure the car runs ok before you pull the trigger. Hopefully other can chime in to help too..

Yeah, it did seem like a drivetrain noise like a bearing going bad. It seemed to go away when I stopped. Maybe a driveshaft carrier bearing? Not even sure the X has one.

Dammit.
