The golden unicorn
The golden unicorn
Hello everyone,,
So back in January i sold my 2013 STI and purchased a Tundra. Six months go by and i really start to miss that car. So i decide to sell the Tundra and go for an Evo X. I found a nice 2012 with 22k miles and dove in with some mods, Ohlins, ETS intercooler, Tomei exhaust, etc. The thing that amazes me is the presence the Evo X has on the street. When i drove the STI i hardly ever got a second look... and that was fine. The Evo turns heads almost every time i drive it, thumbs up, camera phones, etc. It's like a mythical golden showbox.bio/ tutuapp.uno/ https://vidmate.vet/ unicorn or something. With the little bit I've driven it in the first month i have not seen another Evo but i have seen 20 or more WRX's/STI's. I was never looking to get noticed when i bought this car but it is pretty cool to see the presence this car has. I look forward to enjoying all this car has to offer.

Yes I feel the same I was initially looking at an STi so glad I got the Evo.
I see STi's all the time even just parked in the streets like regular cars.
They do not stand out. The X I see a few only cause I'm in NYC
the 8/9 I have not seen in months.

Hahaha wait till you get into another 8/9 - I'd say they're the rarer breeds of the evo line. But I may be biased but it does seem like Evo's in general get a lot of attention these days.
Sounds like a good pick up.
Down here in GA, I'll see 20 or so WRX's and maybe 1-2 Sti's per day. But there is only a couple of Evo owners. I know/have met most of all of them but rarely see them out and about. My next door neighbor actually is the original owner of his 03 Evo 8.
Evo's are really good, fun cars. And like you said, you rarely see any around. It's nice to drive a car that not everyone has.
