*New* 08 GSR Mod Help / Suggestions
Well, I think this is the first time I’ve actually posted in the forums yet I’ve been a lurker for as long as I can remember.
I purchased an abused 08 GSR late 2018 @120k miles. I had her 6 months and the clutch went out... I decided to drop the trans and do the job myself but I was on a time crunch and well... I ended up mobilizing with the Army before I could finish. Thus I had a pissed off Wife as I stored her in the garage on jacks for a whole year.
I came home Apr 2020 and I finished the clutch job, (Exedy w/ ACT Streetlite) hooked the battery up and she started right up! I just replaced all my brakes and rotors (caliper retention pins fused and I had to drill them out which I’m still upset about), new tires(Continental Extreme Contact DWS), and I am about to pull the trigger on a few mods. From what I saw there has been nothing done to the car outside of what I have touched, lowering springs, and intake.
The AWS system is down. I think the previous owners burnt up the pump possibly. I haven’t attempted to jump down that rabbit hole yet, but I plan to replace and restore it eventually.
This is what I’m planning on getting and installing myself here within a month or so:
Cobb Acessport v3 - $500
I have herd to go open source on this and I’m not sure exactly what that means and I think just dropping the $500 on it may be the easier and best option for me.
Cobb 3” Downpipe - $255
Should I get some titanium wrap?
Cobb 3” Testpipe - $325
Cobb SS 3” Quad Tip - $1195
I don’t want anything too obnoxious. I prefer the dual and quad tip look.
3 Port BCS - $115
KYB Struts
Ive got a knocking in my right strut so I’m going to replace them both.
Injector Dynamics 1050x Fuel Injectors 1065cc - $520
A little while down the road & not necessarily in order:
Idle Air BPV
Wideband O2 Sensor
FP MHI 18k Turbo
Intercooler & Piping
AWS System Replacement

I appreciate any advice or suggestions as I’m pretty new to this being a mechanic thing. I’m doing pretty good so far as the clutch job was a major success!
