2012 Evo X Heater Pipe is cool, No heat.
2012 Evo X Heater Pipe is cool, No heat.
I just pulled my X out of winter storage and I'm getting very little heat from the vents.
I see that there isn't a heater control valve. Is this right? The manual shows little details.
Under the hood the upper heater pipe is cool and the lower one is hot by the firewall.
Before I tear into it does anyone have suggestions where to look?
Is there a vacuum or cable controlled heater coolant valve?
The anti freeze is changed every few years so I don't believe the core is plugged.
Any tips appreciated.

I believe there is not a valve and that it's just a blend door setup and the coolant always runs through the heater core. You could have some air trapped in the heater core so possibly just a coolant bleed to fix it.
I haven't had the chance to look if there is a bleed port on the engine. I checked the oil and coolant, fluids when i took it out for a spin and had very little heat.
Then noticed the top core pipe on the firewall was cool. Will look into it more tomorrow.
