Evo x idle issue

I just bought an evo x last week and finally got to registering it today. So I go and take it on a highway cruise with no issues. I bought evoscan and a tactrix cable so I figured I would do a pull with the computer hooked up to make sure everything is solid. I did a 3rd gear pull and put the clutch in and I stalled. I pulled over and it wouldn’t start and was very rough. Gave it a few minutes and it would start but now rpms drop when I press in the clutch. Idle is fine on start up with car in neutral and can drive when give it gas and fine when just cruising. I looked for possible vacuum leaks but I couldn’t find anything. Anybody have any ideas?
thanks in advance.

Sounds like you and Justin Lopez (a few posts up) are having the same issue

Most common cause AFAIK is this line popping off. Zipties are your friend for a permanent fix.

The Fuel psi regulator vac line could be possible.

If that doesn't work, check to see if the secondary fuel pump relay is working. EVO x has a low and high voltage pump relay, it switches from high to low at a defined load/tps. Some cars had open recalls. you can search for it.

The other possibility is a fuel filter issue, although not likely unless you have a aftermarket one. I had a issue one time where the car would go dangerously lean coming into load. cruise and idle was fine. I couldn't figure it out. It ended up being my aftermarket billet inline fuel filter. The little metal screen inside became clogged with white gas gel, and caused a flow obstruction. It was able to get adequate fuel psi during cruise and idle, but as soon as it saw load, it couldn't flow enough fuel to maintain rail pressure and it went lean.

I just cleaned it really good, put it back together and viola! problem solved. I just wish i didn't go through the whole fuel system first.

Anyway, hopefully you get it figured out. If it doesn't end up being the FPR vac hose, or the relay, check to see if its leaning out, or loading up with fuel. See what the o2 voltage is along with fuel trims. You said you had a Tactrix plug, did you change the map or anything?
