My lease is going back On my f80 m3 so I took a chance on a x as a daily to replace it. The new g80 m3 is hideous so I found a nice Evo x from a great guy in Maryland.
Never thought I would like a x being that I have a ix but I知 impressed with the x.
It is way more comfortable and daily drivable than the ix. Looks sick and I feel like I知 in a real car again. Did some minor bolt ons and got tuned for both 93 and E85 and all I have to say is just wow.
Curious what you mean by that, was the BMW too much of a comfy and quiet highway missile?
I had the aa midpipe and competition exhaust but it sounded like a beat up lawn mower on cold starts. Exhaust on full throttle with the pops was nice but the exhaust farts were horrible. Nothing I did mod wise fixed the horrible exhaust note.
Also had the dct which is a glorified automatic. I just felt disconnected from the car. It was beautiful and powerful but handling wasn稚 up to my standards either. Lot of tire spinning but when it grabbed it was pretty quick. A little too computerized for me in that all you do is press the gas and brakes. Launch control and every aspect of the car is done by the car. It just got boring.
only thing I値l miss about the bmw is heated seats. No other features were in the car beside competition package, heated seats and back up camera leading to a over 800 dollar a month payment.
I wear a heated jacket liner on my bike, and it is so nice on a 60 degree day, like a blanket fresh out of the dryer.
I've been thinking of getting into something upmarket. Something with decent power but a more quiet and nice cabin. Something like an S4 or 335i, but they're all electric steering now, a lot more expensive, and they'd be used German gambles on wheels, so I always scrub the idea. So I guess it's kinda good to hear there are driving dynamics downsides with them. When I can have more than one car, I'll probably just get a manual VW wagon or some auto SUV for the roadtrips and other practical purposes.

For heated seats, I think all models are prewired for them, you'd get some heater pads from amazon, then find the wiring connectors that go on seat side and plug them in on the floor, plus the set of switches that go into the blank just under the center storage cubby.

i might try the jacket. This is my second m3 with that payment. Tired of paying crazy payments on a car that痴 not mine in the end. I went and bought an Acura RDX for the snow. Both my Evo payment and Acura payment is less than the bmw payment lol.
s4 interior is way nicer than f80 but the ugly g80 is suppose to have a new exciting interior. It痴 the first time they changed their interior since the 70痴 lol. Most of the new German cars have electric steering which makes the car feel like you are in a video game. Vw gti is pretty nice as well.
Hopefully this isn't too much of a personal question but are you selling the IX because it's that much better than the X or because you can't keep both? Asking because you rarely hear about guys choosing a 9 over a 10.

Not really selling due to financial reasons but i can use the money to invest in something else that would make me more money. Fair. I think a lot of people are thinking about letting their 9s go now that they're jumping in values and I definitely get the raw thing. I used to have a c5 corvette and moved on to a c6 and its a similar thing with those.
