Hi All,

I have a problem, i took the battery out of my evo x because i was going away for the year. Now i came back realising that the trunk opens electrically rather than manual. The other problem is the backseats dont fold so i have no way of getting to the trunk to put the battery back. The doors of the car open for some other reason, even if they didnt i would open with the manual key but i need to get to the trunk. Any other ideas in terms of how i can open the trunk to place the battery back. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Right next to the gas door lever is the lever to open the trunk manually.

 

That is the hood not the trunk/boot of the car. The boot/trunk has an electric button

 

TIL. I wonder if that's a LHD vs. RHD thing or if mitsu just changed it ( Mine is MY 2011 )



Well anyway....

Since you can open your hood. You can use jumper cables to connect up a battery to power the car.

 

plug the battery into the lighter thing? or use jumper cables to the fuse box

 

you couldn't gain access by removing the back seat completely?
