Lancer 2011 - Electronic hood release

Hi I am new to forum but need some help. I have a Lancer 2011 and it hasnt been driven for a while and went to open it and the battery was dead. No problem used the key and got inside. However, I need to get in to the bonnet / hood to charge the battery but it is electronically activated and there doesn't appear to be any way of manually releasing the latch without removing the grill. I know other cars have an external (+) jump point but have had no joy finding it. I have also looked for a manual override int he car but no joy. If anyone knows how to overcome this it would save me quite some effort!

Weird my 2011 Evo has a cable for the bonnet/hood. Maybe it's something specific to your market?

I don't have experience with the Evo X specifically but when I have dealt with this in the past, I generally hook up to the starter battery terminal to get power and pop the hood.
Hopefully this is doable on the X?

As I was typing this I had another thought, isnt the X battery in the trunk? You should be able to use the cable release handle in the car to open the trunk and get to the battery too?

I'm thinking it might be a base, I googled the engine bay and it looks like the battery is up front behind the driver left headlight.

If that is the case, the starter terminal might be the move. It should be accessible from the bottom I would think.
