EVO X AWC Service Required light
..

Don't think a "service required" notification is quite as simple as the regular service reminder for oil changes.
You can check your fluid level (inside trunk on passenger side), but you might want to check the dealership about that one.. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...2008-x-mr.html https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...red-light.html https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...awc-issue.html Good luck.. hope it's nothing major {thumbup} |
I just had a shep tranny installed with a twin disc, im sure that wouldnt make it come on...maybe someone with a twin disc or shep trans could pop in here and give some words. Thanks for your help so fast !
Warranty is voided YIKES lmao |
Also, does it bring harm to the car if I drive it aggressive straight but do not turn aggressive ?

Did you have the AWC bled? And was it shep or someone else who installed it? If it wasn't bled I wouldn't drive your car again until it was.
When I had my twin disk on the stock transmission all was good. I had my transmission rebuilt my shep and am upgrading to a triple disk so I'll let you know if I have any issues once that gets in. |
Ok I seem on here to check the resivoir in the trunk and I did , it is quite empty. Lol I'm going to top it off and see if that does the trick , do I have to reset the battery or will it reset on its own ?
|
Phone messed up my post.
I meant to say don't drive it until you can get it bled or you may need a new pump. Call your dealer asap |

When a tranny and driveshaft is installed the system would need to be disconnected ? I spoke to the shop that did my work and they said there was no work done with that line you guys mentioned
Thanks sorry for miss understanding lol |
Yea, it normally gets disconnected. I'm not sure if there's away around it, but if the reservoir is empty than the line is probably empty and there is definitely air in the system.
|
I can't imagine how one would swap a tranny without disconnecting the hydraulic line from the pump to the ACD. If you paid someone to swap your tranny and they did not put fluid back in the reservoir and bleed the system, they aren't really ready to work on Evos. If they actually gave the car back to you with an empty reservoir and you now have a burned out pump, they owe you a pump.
But there's a good chance you'll get lucky and simply filling the reservoir and bleeding the system (and they need to bleed the ACD and both lines to the AYC) will bring it all back. Take the car to someone who understands the system, even if that means a dealer. |
after any messing with that system is advisable to take it to the dealer and have it bled/serviced, same with a clutch.
