Which is the correct ID1050X injector for Evo X MR? Mine looks like the top pic and still having problems getting them flush inside. When I do a search there's 2 different looks. For anyone who has installed these, which ones do you have and were they able to seat flush? Thought I had this resolved but on the way to work CEL popped, code cylinder 4 misfire. Limped it home and the cylinder 4 injector adapter disconnected and still not enough room for these to seat down correct. I'm done shaving intake manifold at this point, it's ridiculous how crappy these sit.

Jump down to the "Dimensional Drawing" tab. There are a bunch of different versions/models of 1050x's.

Edit: EvoX specific: "1050.48.14.14B.4"

If anyone else has issues, the red base with springs is not 1050. Some places just use stock images. I bought another set in hopes it'll fit better this go around.

Did you contact Injector Dynamics?

I've installed probably 100 of these and never had an issue.

I emailed them first but never got a response, after map helped me out I'm hoping mine are just flawed somehow and these new ones work. Pretty simple to install injectors, even with fuel rail off it refuses to sit flush. It's running like a champ but last injector still had about 1/8" of metal showing.

1st one is the correct one... i had that problem too where its not flusing soo you got 2 options.. option buy a bunch of spacer from homedepot till you get the perfect fit or option 2 trim your fuel rail spacer

Sorry to double post but in case someone has problems, neither of those images are correct. In this pic, they are the plastic body blue o-ring ones.

So, you received the wrong injectors initially?

Just had hard workout and can't take closer pics of the injector but both state 1050X, maybe I got duped because I did buy it in brand new packaging off Facebook Evo site. Both boxes exactly the same. Once I get home later I'll be able to take more pics of the injector with the serial number on them. But if they were knock-offs or something odd, these new injections wouldn't perform exactly like the old ones I don't think. My tuner didn't catch it so not sure what really happened.

Man, that's a stupid problem to have. Glad you got to the bottom of it.

Both the bodies are plastic. Only difference are the adapters. Injectors are exactly the same across the difference cars ID offers injectors for. Only thing that changes are the adapters they put on them.

The first injectors you had have an adapter at the top of the injector. The second set has the adapter at the bottom of the injector.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, as I am having the same exact problem. The shop installed the ID1050x w/ adapter on my car with Radium Fuel rail and see a gab on the 1st injector and the 4th injector. See attache pic with red circle. I just want to verify that this is not normal and it should be fixed.

I have such bad lucks with performance shop (doesn't matter which) since day 1.

I would certainly be interested IF this will not require a retune and acceptable pricing. Where did you buy it from? You can send me the pricing and any other info to my PM. Thanks a bunch.
