How to Red out the Tail lights on Evo X

Hi guys,

I'm fairly new to this forum as well as to this car, I came from a Lexus IS and I have to say that I dont miss it one bit! I love everything about this car but the one thing I hate is the yellow part of the tail lights. When I had my IS250 I bought pre-cut vinyl however I searched and searched this forum as well as google but cannot find anything for the Evo X. I've seen people do tints and such but would like red instead. Any ideas on how to remove the yellow lights on the tail lights? Your help is appreciated!

this is how I want it to look like, notice only the amber part is redout and not the entire tail light. (photoshopped)

I'm not sure if he's on here or not, but a guy known as BlueBatmobile does a ton of overlays for headlights, sidemarkers, tails, etc. on all kinds of cars. It looks like he is working on stuff for the Lancers and Evos. His site is www.bluebatmobile.net - I sent him an e-mail today asking about tint overlays, but you might want to request some red overlays.

I have a vinyl kit made for the VIII&IX that can be used for the X.
I have sold many if you want PM and I can tell you how to do it cheaper by yourself than purchasing from me or anyone else

I actually live in Signal Hill, but its basically considered Long Beach. I just got my car this past Saturday and I'm loving it! I'll definitely post pictures up if/when I get the tails done. Whats weird is that I don't see anyone having redouts yet... Maybe I have bad taste.

Thanks for the pics.... It doesnt look as good as I thought. It covers the round bulb covers which i really like.. I wonder if I can just use vinyl to cover the yellow part only...

It might look better on a different color, but the red doesn't work on octane blue.

does anyone know how to take apart the tail light to actually remove the amber part? It looks like its a piece that I can actually pull out if I can somehow split open the tail light...

This is a photoshop of how I want the tail lights to look like, the right side is the redout, notice you still see the round bulbs and the white reverse bulb, thats how I want it to look like, I dont want to redout the entire tail light. I hope someone can help, thanks.
