Yeah man...I think for the first time you have to go with an instructor so I'm sure it won't be too bad. You should probably at least just try it once.

Your best bet if you're waiting on an A pillar is to get one custom fabricated. From the companies I've talked to no one has any plans on producing one yet to my knowledge. I doubt there will be generally available A pillars out for at least another year. I've had reasonable price quotes to get custom fiberglassed pillars made for $200ish and will be getting one done soon just waiting on the cash...
