How To Install HID Fog Lights

1. Take off your front bumper. You need to take out the bumper so that you can mount the ballast properly above the fog lights plastic housing.

2. When you have take out your bumber, find the fog light bulbs and remove it from the housing, be sure to disconnect the fog light harness first.

After removing the fog light bulb, insert the HID bulb and connect the male to female connectors to the ballast.

Look for the existing fog light harness and connect it with the ballast also.

3. Mount the ballast or digital controller on top of the fog light plastic housing.

It comes with a double sided pad, use the pad and stick it onto the ballast.

Be sure to clean the surface of the top fog light plastic housing before securing it.

4. Use the zip ties to secure all the lines to the existing fog light wire harness.

Be sure to test the HID bulbs before installing back your front bumper.

The image below is with the stock fog lights.

I would suggest putting a screw (or 2) to mount the ballast. The double sided take can only hold so long before it falls out.

Looks to me like the stock bulbs were brighter. Look across the street. The Alley is lit up more with the stockers. The only thing the hid kit does is put some insane hot spots 2ft in front of the car.

those are his headlights. Fog lights don't go that high. I say the camera is affect by the lighting and it's not showing exactly what the hid is doing.

yea and as you an see in the first pic with oem bulb, you can see the faint yellow on the ground.

I changed my fogs to hid's and it is obviously a lot brighter in front of the car and off to the sides. I'm trying to find a good projector and retofit it into the housing and utilize the full potential of all the extra lumens.

Archie you thinking about doing that???
