have someone push down gently on the hood, while you pull the latch inside the car....

then once its open, adjust the hood rubber stoppers so that the hood wont be under so much pressure...

dont force the latch. It can snap off and youll have a fun time going back to the dealer in that case!

^what he said. Pull off the panel where the handle is. grab some pliers to help pull on the wire, that will prevent you from breaking the handle. becareful not to fray the wire.

rub some grease on the hood latch when you get it open. it will prevent rust and add luberication

idk what they said will work, but idk if you got a letter but i did, and it says theres a recall on the hoodlatch so if its still acting up take it to the dealer to get it replaced. Good luck though lol if you have mods they might not do it knowing mits

I snapped my handle right off the first month I had the car. I took it to the dealer for repairs.
