Display Speed in the Multi-Function Information Display (MID)?

Has anyone managed to MOD/hack the MID display to show speed?
Seems like it should have been a default setting but fell asleep one this on in my opinion.

Thanks in Advance

While Japanese cars have improved in their interiors not being completely set up for persons 5'5" or smaller they haven't totally mastered it.

I'm tall and when I have the seat and steering wheel in a position that is comfortable for me the wheel blocks large portions of both the tack and speedo,

hence it would be nice to be able to look dead center and check speed quickly, one so as not to get a stupid ticket and two it allows more focus on road (DC is a dangerous place to drive), and finally why not

but thanks for stating the obvious anyway

being 6'5 makes looking at the gauges very interesting. I would definitely love this mod.

I have my Cobb AP mounted under my volume knob/above climate control for now displaying vehicle speed, but I would love something better/more center.

If your display can't be hacked and you really want digital speed, how about:

http://www.icoracing.com/ds1.htm

These are for motorcycles but I have one on my Jeep for trail navigation. You can display speed or miles. I use it because you can reset your odo to any value you want, which is useful for navigation.

But I previously used it on an Eclipse I ran in open road racing (Silver State Challenge). Reason is I could set the speed calibration to any value. So if you run non-stock tires or such, you can set this display dead-nuts on.

I agreed. This would be a handy mode. I was also surprised to find it was not there.

I'd like to see the center digital cluster ported to the DVD display.

well the actual v1 is on my sunvisor, with the wire routed in the abs pillar and in the dash so its not visible. then i got the discreet interface right behind the steering wheel in the center of the main gauges. im going to get a gauge pod though and get a boost gauge, afr gauge, and on the third pod custome make a fitting for the discreet interface for the v1. so my current location is only temporary
