That's a pretty sweet little build there. Not sure I would want to haul anything with my Evo, but neat to see anyway.

Glad to hear you are back. Let us know any improvements you make the second time around. Would it be worth calling Version 2.0?

To be honest I can't think of any improvements to make. I'll probably machine the side brackets on a CNC machine this time just because it's available to me, but otherwise the design fit perfectly, was strong, and compact. Not much else to do to it.

I could make a couple extra while I'm at it if people wanted them, but I know that they wouldn't be cheap and I'm not sure how the admins here handle things like that. If I had to sign up as a sponsor to make a couple for people it wouldn't be worth the hassle.

Just wanted to say many, many thanks for the detailed instructions. I just finished building my hitch. i had to cut or grind a notch here and there to make it fit but am very happy with the results. And it was ultra cheap. Great writeup. Well done sir.

Nice - glad that it worked out for you. Wanna make me one for my new Evo?

Not sure you would like my techniques. My most sophisticated tools are a hand drill, a dremel, and a cut off wheel in a grinder. It would have been so much prettier with even a drill press! Still, it is robust. I will try to load a pic or 2. But no, I am not in the manufacturing business. Lots of trial fitting and adjustments :-)

I'd buy one if it was available.
I could even take it without being welded together.

I am interested too. I built one just like this for my 2010 Genesis coupe. The license plate even fit perfectly on the rack with existing holes. The album you have up is closed. Thanks Dhatw.
