Ok so Ive done fuel pump kits before on other cars but Im having issues with this one. I didnt buy the kit just the fuel pump. Is it possible to install a walbro 255 without the kit? Im having issues getting the black hose around the nipple of the new fuel pump up top.

I think I am going to end up getting a hose tomorrow at a auto parts place thats E85 friendly....is there an issue using the old filter?

I'm real interested to see how your finished product comes out! I just installed a Blaqops kit over the weekend and it came with several parts that I would think you need. A few more important parts in the kit were the fuel filter, new fuel hose (that you need above), and a bracket to hold the new fuel pump in the fuel bucket. How are you planning to mount the new fuel pump?

 

if you are going e85 route then I suggest you buy some prefab kits... if you don't, you will have to get an e85 friendly like you said hose line that will replace the black hose you are talking bout... also, not to mention the oem sock should be replace aswell.. you can zip tie the walbro in the oem assembly but i highly discourage it...

 

the blaqops kit is a bit expensive but trust me it is way worth it. eliminates the headaches your dealing with. that adapter alone makes it worth every penny. give chris a call (his number is on the website). maybe he'll be nice and over night you the kit so you don't have to wait too long.

 

I picked up some fuel lines this morning and put them on the pump but had to go to work Ill send pics when I get home.

I am planning on going with a blaqops kit in 3 months when I do an FP red so Im not trying to spend 300 bucks on a temporary fix
