Installing SSS wing on MR-T trunk?

I was wondering if it's necessary to replace trunk hydraulics when putting SSS wing on MR-T trunk. I am worried that non-SSS trunk might have different clearance than SSS trunk when it's fully open. It may cause MR-T trunk with SSS spoiler to hit rear glass when I open it.

Has anyone done such installation?

It will be fine if you install it correctly and in the right place. You will have to drill holes in your trunk.

WAIT! DO NOT DRILL HOLES!!!

I would like to swap trunk lids with you if you are looking for a trunk lid with an SSS spoiler. I have one in perfect condition, both trunk, and spoiler. (Car has 19k miles, but no damage to either item).

I would kill to have an MR-T trunk, with the little lip, I think it is so sexy.

Please let me know if you would be interested in a trade... Oh, and I have the Phantom Black paint. I guess if we have different color cars, its totally pointless. Let me know what color your car is! Thanks!

I would advise you to be patient and find someone willing to trade with you. Being in Diamond Bar I'm sure you could find someone relatively local that would be interested. The cost and hassle of having to buy and paint a spoiler and then drill a half a dozen holes isn't worth it.

aww man! I just had this done on a pb mr-t I just bought. I could have save a chunk of change if I knew someone wanted to swap. O well, I like my look with two wings. I think it adds extra hp: p.

if drilling holes is an issue then just leave it with 2 holes on each side, i read a few people have done it this way.

I don't mind drilling holes into my trunk to put the SSS wing on, but I figured i'd first see if anyone wants to swap trunks and save the work and shopping for a PB SSS wing.

I don't know why everyone makes such a big deal about drilling? The spoiler "precut" holes are already marked on the inside of the trunk. There's no guess work.

It's not the work people are going ape**** about.. it's the fact the dude wants to ruin a virgin un-drilled trunk by drilling into it, when there are a lot of people who want to go wingless and not have to pay to patch holes.
