Chrome around the grill?

How do you paint the chrome aroumnd the grill black?? I want to do this. Do i have to do the whole soak it in bleach for 3 days to eat away the "chrome" than paint it black? do they sell them in black?

This is what I mean (Paint is hard to used with a laptop lol)

Or you can buy these parts in black from the parts guys on here, can't remember the websites. lancershop i think and mitsubishiparts.net have them. They are just GSR parts, only chrome on the MR.

Just leave it chrome is strong and durable. Painting it will lead to chipping later on!

Chrome is ugly in my opinion and I am guessing the OP doesn't like it much either. I would never leave something chrome because it will last longer then what I want to change it to. The chrome will also eventually get chipped or crack and peal anyway. I would definitely search lancershop.com or one of the other vendors on here. Good luck finding it!

It's called a grille surround. And yes you can get the pieces by the window in non-chrome, again it's a GSR/MR thing.

Unfortunately yes it is. Might check Lancer DE parts for the window trim pieces. Pretty sure they are the same and might be cheaper.

There are a number of sites that sell oem parts. Google mitsu oem parts and you should find tons. Just use the GSR as your key word tofu ding the parts on the sites.
