Window Rattle

Before I posted this I searched and could not find a thread pertaining to this particular problem. I saw the glove box and windshield rattle threads but not a window rattle.

My passenger door window is rattling. I finally found where it was coming from today and can push against a certain spot on the door to stop the rattle, also cracking my window stops the rattle.

Is there a fix I can do? Or will the dealer actually take care of this? I rolled off the lot brand new on December 31st 2011

Car info: 2011 Evo X MR

I'd like to know this too. My driver side window rattles when it's open about a quarter of the way on my 2011 GSR.

I took my brand new 2011 X to the dealership (300 miles on it) for this and they filed the renowned "Couldn't replicate sound" on the papers. ugh. I've noticed when I push on the window it goes around.

Well I have a 2011 Ralliart and I get the same thing. Lucky it only does it when I open the window about 3-4 inches. Does not do it when it is closed. I have heard if you spray some silicone lube in the side rubber channels it stops this, I have yet to try this.

I had the same problem and I took my car into Mitsubishi because it was pissing me off. They took the door panel off a told me that a bolt becomes loose from vibration and they loctite it and the rattling went away. He said it was a common problem.

Mine does some stupid noise also on the passenger side, but only when it's rolled up. It drives me crazy. So what I do is pull over and reach over and just open and close the door and it actually helps a little. I should try the dealership.

They never specified which one it was. My car was due for service so they did it while it was getting an oil change. Maybe I can phone them and as to pull up my work order. I'll let you guys know.

I started noticing mine a few days ago and its getting worse and worse, makes me wonder if it is a bolt(s), gonna take the door panels off soon. I'll take pics if I can find what does this and post them.
