Remove and Install of the Shift Control Cables?

Remove and Install of the Shift Control Cables?
Need some help PLZ!. I have no idea how my shift cable broke but am stuck on the removal part. Got everything out except for the plate that holds both cables and is bolted down to the car. The plate is located behind the AUX port under some computer, i can barley fit my fingers in the're and if you go through the bottom of the car you only see the nut plates and the threads of the bolts. anyone have any insight, or suggestion it would greatly help i tried looking online but couldn't find anything.
