Installed the Move Over Racing Evo X front tow hook over the weekend. I choose this hook because, compared to other brands, it bolts through the front crash bar instead of bolting to the front of it, which will hopefully offer more strength when loaded from the front. I'm not sponsored by this company but figured I'd share my experience with other Evo X owners, as it seems like there aren't very many good options for front tow hooks - which are required for most track days.

First impressions are great! The hook looks super solid, and the kit came complete with all the hardware I needed to install it. The hardware itself was of really high quality! The powder coating looks really thick.

Step 1: Remove the bumper. It's easier than it sounds. There are just a ton of bolts and plastic body clips to remove.

Step 2: Measure twice and drill two 1/2" holes in the front crash bar. I chose to mount the hook closer to the edge, as the middle part of the crash bar is hollow.

Step 3: Modify the plastic air funnel so that it can be used with the hook. I used a Dremel cutting wheel to cut a slot for it. This is optional. With it removed, you would see some raw aluminum. You could also paint this newly exposed section of the crash bar flat black if you want. I'm not sure if this plastic funnel helps with the airflow or not.

Step 4: Install the hook with included hardware and tighten.

Step 5: Re-install the bumper
