HELP please with TWM full cage shifter install

For those who have installed this, I need help. I am having trouble getting the OEM shifter out. Specifically I am stuck on step #25 per the TWM instructions, which relates to disconnecting the shifter cables from the OEM shifter. The instructions say you lift the cables off the shifter while simultaneously pressing the tab on the mechanism that holds the cables to the shifter, but I can't for the life of me figure out the tab they're referring to and/or how to depress it.

For anyone that has installed the TWM full cage or otherwise removed the OEM shifter, please let me know how you got the cables disconnected.

Thanks!

Yeah thanks. I'm just trying to get eyes and attention from someone who may be able to help quickly given my car is out of commission and I need to be able to get to work tomorrow. Thanks for the bump and please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience I may have caused to you

It doesn't feel like a tab so much as an indent. I practically broke skin trying to push that thing in. Put your finger behind the cable holdown and feel on the bottom edge. Push on the indent as hard as you can and lift up as hard as you can at the same time. It will eventually come out and you will bust a knuckle or two potentially.

This - and I wore the padded mechanics impact gloves for this. Those cables are a ***** to get out.

i did this today and you aint lying.. it was a b**** to do.. otherwise the rest of the install was really easy. I had gave up and ended up taking off most of the front of the dash so i could get my hands in from behind with a screw driver and it came out pretty easy then.
