I never even had curiosity until recently but..

Does newer Lancer or Lancer Evo comes with lighting on ignition key box?

It seems like the part itself is made to be able to be illuminated.

Attached photo is lighted of the part using flash light.

Oh, mine is 08' Evo X with fast key by the way.

Would it be possible to make it illuminated by putting a bulb at the circled part of another attached photo?

Let me know if anyone has tried it or knows about it please.

hmmm tape an LED to it and see what you get. I dont think my 08 evo has light either.

 

I just checked my friend's Evo and his car had light on it.

It was 2010 GSR with non-fast key one by the way.

The circled part on pic I posted was exactly where the bulb was located at.

I do not know if the ones with fast key are not equipped with lighting option on purpose, but seems like the ones that have to put keys to ignite light up.

I did not have enough time to check where the wires are hooked up for lighting, but definitely check out later.
