Tow hook?!

Did you find any purpose for actually removing the tow hook?

I tried - failed. Then proceeded to install the exhaust without any issues. All seems to work fine and have lots of clearance.

I've heard that feedback quite a bit. I wonder if there is a purpose. This weekend I'll try to put it back on. If it fits why take it off?

Thanks for the feedback.

You know, the HKS Super Turbo is beautiful. I love it with a high flow cats so that you can really hear the turbo and its not drowned out by the exhaust.

I didn't look at the Cobb. They make nice parts though.

Sound clips please. The two hks videos from like years ago don’t do it for me. Need more convincing. If you don’t mind. Cold start. Warmed. Rev. (Too much? Haha) That would be great. Also, a couple questions. 1) How heavy is this compared to stock.? 2) is it a true 3in diameter or does it taper off anywhere? Thanks!

Glad to see you respond! I emailed HKS USA and they indeed confirmed it doesn't need to come off on all models. For referenrefinance have a '14 MR.

Did you end up doing anything else with the exhaust? High flow cat or test pipe? I'm curious to see the sound. I'm honestly stunned HOW quiet the super turbo is lol...

From what I could tell it definitely seems true 3". From the naked eye I didnt see any tapers anywhere.

I'd say the weight that HKS says is true. System felt very light installing. I did the whole install myself with ease. And just from carrying stock exhaust away and carrying HKS to the car the weight was noticeable.

Sweet. So far I’m torn between this HKS exhaust and a single ETS titanium exhaust. Pretty much the same price. Have any sound clips of yours that you can share?

So I just picked up this exhaust and started install. The 2 bolts between the cat and midpipe were a pain to get out. But afterwards, I can only put one back in, the other won't catch. Has anyone run into this, and what did you do here?

Or am I looking at having to rethread this hole?
