You have to use the Serial Output. You can either make one, or buy the Spec-Ops harness from STM. If you're computer doesn't have a serial connection, you'll also need a Serial to USB adapter.

is there no other way like going direct i know about the serial but was hoping i could get a better option than a lot of hanging wires around the dashboard

How do you have your gauge mounted? You should have your power and ground routed to under the dash. I would then run the serial cable across to the glove box. That way, when you need to log, you just pull it out and have your laptop on the passengers seat. Atleast that's how I have mine ran, but both my gauges are mounted on my A-Pillar.

I mounted my guage on the steering wheel for now but I am working on a cus tom center panel where I will place the guage and the panel will also hold a sliding 10 inch iPad and I will use the side of the panel to hold all the plug ins like an extended obd and will have to now place the serial socket next to the obd I will post a design once I get back home

But how do you get it to work with evoscan? :)

Edit: Blegh this is what you get for using your mobile phone, I had jumped down to mapperformance bumping a thread about this under this one and hit reply. Figures it went to the original thread. Sorry for grave digging this.
