How do I get to that from behind the radio? I need to run my wires up between the vents like XK120 and M3this.

 

I got it from below the steering wheel. It's kinda tricky at first because the wire might not want to cooperate at first. Just have a friend move it around alot while you lay underneath the wheel with a flashlight

 

Im already wired up. Im actually swapping from a gruppe-s panel so I have to feed the wires from the bottom up.. (if that makes sense)... Or i could disconnect everthing!

 

Tried a shoe lace with a nut tied to the end of it.... no luck.

 

I also really want to know how to wire it through there. Anyone???

 

Huh well that's weird...I can't really remember too well since it was so long ago, I do remember it was difficult because the wire wanted to go into the A/C vents. Sorry I can't be of any help, but it is possible

 

Yeah its definately hitting the vents. going from behind the radio, all I see and feel is metal....

 

I got it by going from the passenger side, maybe reaching in throught the glove box area or footwell area. I don't remember it being very hard, but maybe I was just lucky. I think I remember after popping out that little square clip I could see light when looking up under there and that helped. You have to try to reach back to the firewall and then up IIRC. Hope this helps.

 

Ya using a light helps. Get in a dark garage or someplace similar and place a flashlight in the opening on top and then get below to see where it comes in...then just try vice versa.

 

Some sick setups here, its a hard decision to make on which way to go.
