Official Interior & Dash Picture Thread
For the bazillionth time...search, this is all in there already. There are other whole threads devoted to this. IF you pay attention the poster with these climate controls is from Australia, his Evo comes from Japan.
They are the automatic climate controls that come in JDM evos...NO they are NOT retrofittable to USDM evos. Our manual climate controls use cables to actuate the thermostat control and the flap control in the heater-A/C box. These units use potentiometers and servo motors to do this. To retrofit this, you would need the complete dash harness, ETACS ECU, heater box (some modification because of LHD drive?), controls, wiring diagrams, under dash pieces, etc...
If you are the one to figure this out, please write an extensive and agonizingly detailed how-to with complete parts list...you'll need it when everyone starts asking you how you did it.

Doesn't "need" to be visible. I've got more important things to keep an eye on. Like: the road.
When tuning, you can easily flip down the compartment and monitor stuff. Plus, my laptop that fits in the glove box logs everything for review later.

So what happens if you're doing a hard pull and something comes lose or something you go really dangerously lean or something? You wouldn't know until it was too late...
Same scenario as if the car was completely stock. Plus, who really looks at their gauges (regardless of where they are placed) while they're in the middle of a hard pull?
I look at the road 100% of the time, but if any of my gauges go to where I have it programmed in the "warn area" the entire gauge turns red and I can see it through my peripheral vision.
Here, I thought it might be hard to see what I'm talking about. Look at the boost gauge. I turned the warn too low, but anyways, it turned red. The Wideband is fouled when that video was shot, so disregard it.

Now my voltmeter, boost, wideband, oil pressure, and fuel pressure all do this. Anything goes wrong, I know, and let off. If the car was stock, well then it would be covered by warranty and no biggy, but if you have mods it's a must.

^^^^ That I like a lot though
How did you do that?

It's the Blitz turbo timer's brain. No trickery involved. I just needed a place to mount it out of the way. This spot worked out very well.
