Yes the Defi HUD are visible during bright sunny days...

There are two types: Defi VSD Basis and the VSD Concept.. They can be ran standalone or link with other guages (VSD Concept only) Basically you can run all your guages through the HUD except for boost

Also a shift /warning light comes with both units..

Hey guys I have a question.
I went to a Evo dealership and saw a WW Evo 9. It wasnt the MR or the SSL. No sun roof and not 6 speed. It did have leather seats, I mean exact ones just like the SSL.

What's up with that? I asked the dealer what's with this and they said, this is how it comes.

HUH? I thought it wasnt leather for the non SSL. So does the new 9's come leather standard?

The non-ssl IXs and IX MRs have seats made of alcantara, although the sides are leather. SSL seats are only leather.

You either just noticed the leather bits on the non-SSL model and maybe you didn't notice the middle section was alcantara (both materials are black if I remember correctly), or someone had the seats switched out from an SSL Evo into a non-SSL model.

yeah it was weird, I checked the SSL and then compared it to this and they were the same seats. Even more weird was that this one was new!!

I checked out a red RS and they also had leather on the sides of the seats.

Yeah, so does the 9's have better looking and feeling leather inserts or something compared to the 7's and 8's?
I've seen a 8 and yes you can tell if it's leather or not but the 9, I was confused.

Evozak: Yes the RS have the same seats as the GSR and MR

reggie: As far as I know the VIIIs do not have leather inserts on the side bolsters of the seats, and I am getting a ride in an Evo VII within the next few weeks so I'll let you know, but I am pretty sure they are only cloth, like the VIIIs.

If your seats are all leather, you're either driving an SSL evo, or an Evo that has swapped SSL seats in.

Again, from first glance, it might seem like the seat looks like it's all leather, because the leather sides and the alcantara in the middle are both black and go together very well.
