delongedoug, you should take that plastic off, looks a lot better with it off, i did it on mine and gives it more of that "finished" look. also, can you imagine the weight savings if you removed the plastic

that's on every car to keep the glass inside the door in case it breaks

You must be referring to the door plastic not the ignition ring light.

Every car has some kind of barrier there. Its to keep water from leaking into your car. If you remove it most likely water will leak into the car between the door panel and the door itself.

That plastic won't prevent anything from leaking. The seals are so sub par it would not hold anything in, and to my knowlege that's what the weather stripping is for. I just think it looks better and I have driven in horrific rain and not had an issue. Different stroke. Props on the car still, looks good

Isn't the passenger airbag on top of the dash? Can it still deploy with that on top of it?

Do you know how to change it? I found the cig lighter ring and the ash tray light but the ignition light I was unable to get to and I didnt want to start tearing my ignition appart and mess something up for a light, if you have a link to it that would be great

Is it possible for the dash from evo 7-9 be converted in an evo 6?
