About 80 to 90 percent of the time I take the 405 Freeway going home.

On my way to work, I use the canyons which is a very fun drive at around 6:20am in the morning.

i think the secret mod its a vortex generator or a rear diffuser.

 

I would like to thank Derek at Rexpeed for providing me with their very own Plug and Play HID Fog Light kit for the EVO X.

The HID is now installed and working. It is a night and day difference compared to the stock fog lights.

I've made a how to on how to install it on your EVO X.

If you are interested in purchasing a kit. Please feel free to contact Derek @ Rexpeed.

1. Take off your front bumper. You need to take out the bumper so that you can mount the ballast properly above the fog lights plastic housing.

2. When you have take out your bumber, find the fog light bulbs and remove it from the housing, be sure to disconnect the fog light harness first.

After removing the fog light bulb, insert the HID bulb and connect the male to female connectors to the ballast.

Look for the existing fog light harness and connect it with the ballast also.

3. Mount the ballast or digital controller on top of the fog light plastic housing.

It comes with a double sided pad, use the pad and stick it onto the ballast.

Be sure to clean the surface of the top fog light plastic housing before securing it.



4. Use the zip ties to secure all the lines to the existing fog light wire harness.

Be sure to test the HID bulbs before installing back your front bumper.

nice.... but, is it worth it putting HIDs on your fogs??

 

he received the 6000k crystal white HID's. Were still deciding which lumens to go with.
For sure 3000k yellow HID fogs and maybe 4300k. But 6000K is suppose to be what most cars are running they are the best sellers for any HID application. IMO HID will always look better than regular bulbs
