Smile How about a hot pink evo ?

So I know painting a car in a colour that is not a stock colour, it will depreciate the value. But out of curiousity, how much would it be on average to paint it from graphite to hot pink? And how much would the value go down ?

w/o some serious hook ups, 2k will only get you some mickey mouse job, a really good one will cost some serious dough especially if you are painted the engine bay door jams and trunk.

he's right, and that's the only way to do it since you're going from dark to lighter
color.

I would say a quality paint job would be at least 4-5k. As for depreciation, to the average consumer you will take a huge loss, but if you can find the right person...

I'd say do hot pink wheels (powder coated, for a few hundred dollars) and then get some pink vinyl pinstriping.

I work at a high-end body-shop (work on porsches, a lot of mercedes, ferrari, etc) and a "paintjob" STARTS at 3k. Being that I own an X myself and I write estimates/used to paint I'd say you're looking at at least 4k for it. The car does indeed have to go a lighter color before putting pink on it would really be feasible. With that you're looking at another solid amount in materials and hours alone. It can be done tho, no doubt about that.

Well my gues (I painted some cars over the years). Depending how you want it I would say materials lets say house of kolors and such yeah you can get a paint job for around 3 to 5 k but you also have to look at color sanding and such such and after you paint the car the paint will shrink(Paint job will start looking rough). You will have to take it back in and get it wet sanded and buffed. I would avoid painting the car since it is new. Unless you have money to blow. There are other mods you can do.
