It was about 95 degrees the other day and while the knob was hot, it wasn't too hot to touch.

Well, the 10x1.25 will fit perfectly, I'm not sure if the 10x1.5 will fit at all. If you try and put the 10x1.5 on and it seems to fit there shouldn't be any issues.
